This person’s brother was shot several times and they need 10k for medical expenses — they have barely 1500 dollars and it’s been up for a month. Please consider donating or circulating.
I’m sorry but it’s really annoying to see this keep happening on my dash. For those who don’t know,Pixiv is considering shutting down access to western users.
Why?
Because of edits and reposts onto social media sights, such as Tumblr, Facebook, even Twitter. The problem has been here for the past months and I really just get sad seeing everyone reblog edits and reposts of art that’sUNSOURCED.
I’m sorry if I seem bitchy, but this is a critical issue, because not only would this cut off fandom posters, it cuts off any person in the US from accessing Pixiv.
Pixiv artists are already deleting their works and accounts, more and more artists are deleting everything because of this. I have alreadymade a post about this on my main, and so havetwo ofmy friends. You may say we’re throwing a big deal about this, but the thing is- we’re just trying to make sure that us fans and future fans have the art resources.
Things to know:
ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
I REPEAT. ZEROCHAN AND WEHEARTIT ARE NOT SOURCES.
If you really absolutely don’t know, try the Google Images source thing.
If you ABSOLUTELY HAVE TO REPOST THEIR WORK, ASK THEM FIRST! It won’t hurt you to be polite, and even if they don’t understand english they probably will understand what you’re saying.
I see this happen on my dash sometimes and I’m not gonna lie, I did consider unfollowing the people that reblog unsourced fanarts. Especially more so on those so-called one piece confessions/dirty op confessions whatever. It’s getting ridiculous.
However, it’s my belief that every one of you are wonderful people who respects others, especially those who have worked hard in drawing and writing all the wonderful doujins and fanarts. So I hope I can raise some more awareness to this.
As usual I’m going to illustrate it in an easy way. (read right to left)
What supposed to happen:
What you’re doing when you don’t source:
What you’re making the artist do:
Every artist grow by displaying their work and getting critique. But when their work is spread around without any credit to the artist, AND EVEN MAKES THE OWN ARTIST DELETE IT FROM HIS/HER SITE it lost the purpose and meaning.
What you should do from now on (if you haven’t been doing so):
i feel like i’m reblogging history. “the post that broke the notes”

We know
firsthand how hard the holidays can be many in the LGBTQIAP+ community. As it is
our mission to help you find happiness, pride, and strength in your life, we
have constructed a list of 10 self-care activities to gift yourself.
1. Connect with friends and family members who
are affirming of your identity. Whether you send a holiday card, a text
message, or call, connecting with those who respect and affirm you goes a long
way.
2. Curl up with an affirming book. If you
don’t know of any books that affirm your identity, ask us!
3. Finish a project you’ve been putting off.
We see you, students. Turning in a project you’ve been procrastinating will
give you more relief than setting down your holiday book haul.
4. Write down your 2017 achievements. Make
sure you include the little ones! This is a great way to reflect on your growth
and remember how amazing you are.
5. Clear out negativity on your social media
feeds. If there’s anyone who makes you uncomfortable on social media, it’s
time to do some holiday cleaning. You deserve to have a safe and affirming space online just as much as you do offline.
6. Write down some affirmations. Negative
thoughts can become even more invasive when we’re forced to interact with
non-affirming people. Take some time to write down and recite affirmations. You
can also trade affirmations with friends in the community!
7. Reach out if you need help. Talk to a
friend, a school counselor, or a therapist. You can also chat online with trained
mental health counselors at the Suicide Prevention Lifeline and Crisis Chat .
8. Spend some time alone. While it’s great
to surround yourself with support, sometimes we need a few hours alone to
relax. Whether you want to chill in your room, go for a walk, or drive to your
favorite place, know that it’s okay if you need to take some time for yourself.
9. Support your fellow LGBTQIAP+ friends.
Your community is your best source for support. Supporting others feels just as
good as getting support, and connecting with others in the community to spread
positivity is what we’re all about.
10. Write down a personal self-care plan. While
the above are a few of our tips, there are many self-care activities that you
may find more or less fulfilling. Pick up a journal or open up a Word doc and
get planning!
Y’all need to stop being so self-deprecating. You’re not boring or bland or whatever; you’re just shy and/or you’re not used to having conversations, but give yourself time and you’ll learn to find your groove when it comes to having conversations with others. You’ll get there and I’m sure plenty of people will find something interesting about you.
